AINP announces new Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) has announced the launch of their new Alberta Express Entry Stream – The Accelerated Tech Pathway.

This new AINP program is linked to the Express Entry system, which means that if you are chosen, 600 points will be added to your Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. You would then be eligible to be selected in Express Entry draws for Provincial Nominees.

The main criteria for the new AINP Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway are as follows:

  • you must have an active Express Entry profile with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300 or higher
  • you must be working full-time in Alberta or have a job offer for full-time employment based in Alberta (full-time is a minimum of 30 hours per week):
    • in an occupation on the list of eligible Accelerated Tech Pathway occupations (full list below)
    • for an employer that is part of the Alberta tech industry as defined by the AINP list of eligible North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes (list below)
  • the primary occupation in your EE profile must be the same occupation as your current Alberta employment or job offer
