Service details and turnaround
This review is for those who have received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) and would like to have their application for permanent residence reviewed before they submit it electronically to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Our Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant will provide a written review of your application. You will be required to share all of your completed application forms and supporting documents.
*The review will only be for applications and supporting documents that are in English or if the documents have been translated into English. Unfortunately, we cannot do reviews for supporting documents that are in French.
Stated review turnaround: 7–10 business days after all requested documents and information have been received.
Permanent Residency File Review: your questions answered
This service is for your completed permanent residence application before you submit it to IRCC. Complete all online application forms, gather all supporting documents, and tell the consultant your deadline for submission. If you are still deciding what to put in the application, or need assistance with work experience letters, a consultation may be a better first step than sending a partly assembled application.
Yes. Identify the entries that worry you and provide the relevant versions and supporting documents. Include any relevant letters of explanation. The review examines the completed application for mistakes, document quality, and missing supporting documents. Do not alter facts to make documents agree; explain the discrepancy so the consultant can assess it in context.
Tell us exactly what is missing and when it is expected before ordering this service. The normal report clock starts after all requested documents have been received. However, if you would like the rest of your application to be reviewed, you may book this service with the understanding that any missing documents will not be reviewed at a later date unless previously agreed upon by the consultant. IRCC has its own rules for missing documents, and the review does not create an extension or establish that an explanation will be accepted.
Do not assume rush delivery is available. The stated report time is 7–10 business days after all requested documents are received. Contact us with the actual submission deadline before paying if that leaves too little time. You still need time to read the report, make changes, and submit the application yourself. If you require an urgent review, contact us for a quote for additional expediting charges.
The service provides a written review, not full representation or a guarantee of approval. You receive findings on errors, supporting document quality, missing documentation, and ways to strengthen the application. You remain responsible for making any recommended changes, adding any recommended information or documentation, and the final application and submission to IRCC unless you retain one of Canada Abroad’s Canadian immigration consultants for full representation..
For this service, application forms and supporting documents must be in English or translated into English. Canada Abroad’s current review policy does not cover French-language supporting documents. This is the service’s language policy, not a statement that IRCC refuses documents in French. Ask about your file before ordering if you need clarification.
You can book a separate paid 30-minute consultation with the immigration consultant to discuss the report. The written review is normally delivered within 7–10 business days after receipt of all requested documents; a follow-up appointment is booked separately and is not included automatically. You can book the consultation in advance to coincide with the date your report is expected to be finalized. You should first ask us which consultant is reviewing your file, before booking the consultation to ensure you book with the correct consultant.
