Service details and turnaround
This option is for those who have submitted an application for a Study Permit, Work Permit or Visit Visa and believe that IRCC has refused their application incorrectly or want to understand why their application was refused.
Our Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant will review your refusal letter and all of the relevant supporting documents and application forms to assist you in determining if a second application could be successful. This is not for those who want to apply for a Judicial Review by the Federal Court. This is only for those who want to further understand the refusal of their application to see if Judicial Review would be an option or want to submit a new application.
Our Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant will provide a written review of their findings. You will be required to share all of your completed application forms, supporting documents, refusal letter and GCMS notes (if available).
*The review will only be for applications and supporting documents that are in English or if the documents have been translated into English. Unfortunately, we cannot do reviews for supporting documents that are in French.
Stated review turnaround: 7–10 business days after all requested documents and information have been received.
Rejected Application Review: your questions answered
The consultant reviews the refusal letter alongside the application forms and relevant supporting documents that were submitted to IRCC to explain the findings and help assess a possible second application. This service covers refused study permits, work permits, and visitor visas. A refusal letter on its own may not show the whole picture, so provide the full application that you submitted to IRCC.
IRCC warns that reapplying for a visitor visa with the same information is unlikely to change the decision. The review helps identify issues to address in a second application, as well as additional documentation that may assist in a new application to address the visa officer’s concerns.
The current service asks for GCMS notes, if available, together with the refusal letter, completed forms, and supporting documents. Tell us whether you have requested notes and what you already have. If you received a refusal after July 29, 2025, the officer’s decision notes from GCMS may have already been supplied to you with your refusal letter.
No. This is a written review of your refused application and is not an appeal, a reconsideration request, or an application for Judicial Review. If you wish to challenge a decision, obtain prompt advice about the appropriate route and deadline. Purchasing or waiting for this report does not extend a legal deadline.
Ask for the application forms, supporting documents, and refusal correspondence that were submitted or received from your previous representative. Tell us what is unavailable before ordering. The consultant needs the original application context to assess the refusal, and the usual review period starts only after all requested documents have been received.
The stated turnaround is 7–10 business days from receipt of all requested documents. The findings are provided in writing. Flag urgent deadlines before ordering; do not treat the normal review as a rush service. Documents must be in English or translated into English under the current service policy.
The purchase is for a written review of the refused application, and does not include preparation of a new application. A separate paid 30-minute consultation can be booked to discuss the findings. If you want someone to prepare or manage a new application, ask about representation and its separate scope.
