International Skilled Workers

Employment Offer

  • Have a full-time permanent job offer for a skilled occupation in National Occupational Classification Matrix level “A”, “B” or “0”, or in a designated trade in Saskatchewan;
  • Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program point assessment grid;
  • Have at least one-year of work experience in the past ten years in your intended occupation;
  • Have a language score of at least CLB 4 on an approved language test;
  • Intention to live and work in Saskatchewan.
  • Show proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure, if your intended occupation is in a regulated profession or compulsory apprenticeship trade.

Occupations in-Demand

  • Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program point assessment grid;
  • Have a valid language test result with a CLB level 4 or higher in English;
  • Have completed post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship that’s comparable to the Canadian education system of at least one year in length for which a certificate, diploma or degree was issued;
  • Have at least one of the following in your field of education or training occupation AND is not on the Excluded Occupation List;
    • One-year work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades applicants);
    • Two years work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years;
    • Twelve-months work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades);
  • Intention to live and work in Saskatchewan;
  • Provide proof of Professional Status or proof of eligibility for Licensure for your occupation if it is a regulated occupation with professional certification standards in Canada and/or Saskatchewan.

Express Entry

  • Have a valid Express Entry Profile;
  • Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program point assessment grid;
  • Have a valid language test result with a CLB level 4 or higher in English;
  • Have completed post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship that’s comparable to the Canadian education system of at least one year in length for which a certificate, diploma or degree was issued;
  • Have at least one of the following in your field of education or training occupation AND is not on the Excluded Occupation List;
    • One-year work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades applicants);
    • Two years work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years;
    • Twelve-months work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades);
  • Intention to live and work in Saskatchewan;
  • Have sufficient settlement funds to support your family size;
  • Provide proof of Professional Status or proof of eligibility for Licensure for your occupation if it is a regulated occupation with professional certification standards in Canada and/or Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Experience

Applicants With An Existing Work Permit

  • Have been working in Saskatchewan for six months or longer for the employer offering you the job, with a valid work permit;
  • Your permanent, full-time job offer must be for the same position that you have been working in for the past six months;
  • Have a permanent full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in an O, A or B level occupation or in a designated trade;
  • Have a valid Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Job Approval Letter;
  • Have achieved a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 in listening, reading, writing and speaking on an approved English test if your job offer is in a NOC ‘C’ occupation;
  • Have proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure if your occupation is regulated in Saskatchewan and requires mandatory (compulsory) certification or licensure.

Healthcare Professionals

Have been working full-time in Saskatchewan for at least six months, on a temporary work permit as a:

  • Physician;
  • Nurse; or
  • Other health professional.

Hospitality Sector Project

  • Are currently working in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit issued through a Labour Market Impact Assessment;
  • Have an offer of permanent, full-time employment from an approved Saskatchewan Hospitality employer;
  • Have been working with an Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Hospitality-approved employer who is offering the permanent job for a minimum of six months;
  • Are working in one of the following jobs:
    • Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6453)
    • Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6641)
    • Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6661)
  • Minimum of a high school diploma;
  • Have a valid Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Job Approval Letter;
  • Have achieved a Canadian Language Benchmarks 4 or higher in listening, reading, writing and speaking on an approved English language test.

Long Haul Truck Driver Project

  • Must be working for an approved trucking firm in Saskatchewan on a temporary foreign work permit issued based on a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment for at least six months;
  • Have a current Saskatchewan Class 1A driver’s licence;
  • Have an offer of full-time, permanent employment from your employer which must be an approved trucking firm in Saskatchewan; and,
  • Have a valid Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Job Approval Letter;
  • Achieve a minimum of a CLB 4 or higher in listening, reading, writing and speaking on an approved English test.

Students

Students who have graduated from a Saskatchewan institute

  • You’ve graduated from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Saskatchewan with:
    • A certificate;
    • A diploma; or
    • A degree.
  • You’ve worked for a minimum of 6 months (paid) in Saskatchewan;
  • You possess a valid post-graduation work permit;
  • You have a current, permanent, full-time job offer in your field of study from a Saskatchewan employer that is level “A”, “B”, “O” or in n a designated trade, or related to your field of study and requires post-secondary education;
  • Have a valid Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Job Approval Letter;
  • Achieved a minimum of a CLB 4 in listening, reading, writing and speaking on an approved English test if your job offer is in a NOC “C” occupation.

Students who have graduated from an institute in Canada

  • You’ve graduated from a program that is the equivalent of at least one academic year of full-time study from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Canada (outside of Saskatchewan) with:
    • A certificate;
    • A diploma; or
    • A degree
  • You possess a valid post-graduation work permit;
  • You’ve worked after graduation with a post-grad work permit for at least six consecutive months of paid employment in Saskatchewan in a position related to your field of study;
  • You have a current, permanent, full-time job offer in your field of study from a Saskatchewan employer that is classified as “A”, “B”, “O” or is in a designated trade, or is related to your field of study and requires post-secondary education;
  • Have a valid Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Job Approval Letter;
  • Achieved a minimum of a CLB 4 in listening, reading, writing and speaking on an approved English test if your job offer is in a NOC “C” occupation.

Semi-skilled Agriculture Workers

  • Have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months for the employer offering you the job, with a valid work permit;
  • Have a permanent full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in one of the following occupations
    • NOC 8431: General Farm Worker
    • NOC 8432: Nursery and Greenhouse Worker
  • Have a valid SINP Job Approval Letter;
  • Your permanent, full-time job offer must be for the same position that you have been working in for the past six months.
  • Your work permit must be for one of the following programs:
    • Seasonal Agriculture Worker Program;
    • International Experience Canada; or
    • Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
  • Have completed the equivalent of a Canadian secondary school education (high school) or above;
  • Have a valid educational credential assessment;
  • Have a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 in listening, reading, writing and speaking if your job offer is in a NOC ‘C’ occupation.
