Immigrate to Canada: Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot Program

In order to qualify, you need to meet all of the following six requirements:

1

You must have a job offer from an employer in one of the participating communities.

2

You need 1 year of continuous work experience (at least 1,560 hours) in the past 3 years in the same field as your job offer.

3

You must meet the minimum language requirements based on the NOC category that applies to the job offer you have received.

4

Obtain a community recommendation from the participating community which your job offer is in.

5

You must have enough money to support any family members you may have, even if they’re not coming to Canada with you.

6

You must have a Canadian high school diploma or an educational credential assessment (ECA).

Settlement Funds Required

You will be required to prove that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you arrive in Canada unless you are already working in Canada on a valid work permit. This money cannot be borrowed and must be available at the time of application.
