Canada Abroad vs. Canada Aboard – Who is the real deal?
At first glance, you may not even notice the difference, but there is one. Canada Abroad is owned and operated by Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, Deanne Acres. The company is based in South Africa and is fully registered in South Africa. We do not have registrations in any off shore countries of anywhere else.
Deanne herself has been registered with the Immigration Consultant of Canada Regulatory Council since 2013, which can be verified with the ICCRC and on their website by searching by name of location (South Africa). http://secure.iccrc-crcic.ca/search-new/EN
When dealing with Canada Abroad you will only speak with Deanne Acres. She will be the one who reviews your free assessment, who does a consultation with you, and would do your application.
The website for Canada Abroad is red in theme and below is a screenshot of the home page. You will also notice that the ICCRC logo is clearly and proudly displayed, which lets you know that we are legally authorized representatives.
When being contacted by Deanne you will see our logo on her e-mail signature which is below:
One of the main services that Canada Abroad offers that Canada Aboard does not, is a FREE eligibility assessment. It is on our site and it is 100% free. We only begin to charge a fee if the applicant wants to proceed with a full consultation or service. Even then the consultation is well below their $400 Canadian Dollars charged for the assessment alone.
Canada Abroad has recently employed a new Administrative Assistant by the name of Nicolene Bosch. If you ever speak with her, she does work for our company.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————
Canada Aboard is an online immigration company which is owned and operated by Activa Marketing Ltd in the Seychelles. They also run their payments through Activa Services (UK) Ltd in the United Kingdom.
Various attempts have been made to have them verify who their authorized representative is. In order to charge anyone a fee for Canadian Immigration Assistance you need to be one of the following:
- lawyers and paralegals who are members in good standing of a Canadian provincial or territorial law society,
- notaries who are members in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec and
- citizenship or immigration consultants who are members in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council.
To date, their authorized representative has not been verified.

Seeing any of these when dealing with someone means you are NOT dealing with Canada Abroad or Deanne Acres.
The sales people they have working for them that we have noted so far include: Michael Green, Richard Ross, Ann Jones, Karen Lopez, Danielle Parker and Julie Chevet.
Below is a verbatim e-mail that clients have been receiving from them after being called by the call centre. If you receive this, it is not from us.

We have stayed quite long enough about this company. We can no longer continue to sit by and say nothing as the amount of calls we receive from people believing they have dealt with us has reached its limit. We are proud of our reputation and the service we provide. These two companies are in no way affiliated or connected. Please do not get us confused with them.
