- Express Entry is a new electronic management system which Citizenship and Immigration Canada is now using to manage applications for Permanent Residency
- Express Entry only applies to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, Provincial Nominee Program s and the Canadian Experience Class
- You must qualify in one of the above four categories to be entered into the pool
- There are a total of 122,000 available spots in the above four categories for 2015
- You do not have to have a job offer to be entered into the Express Entry pool
- Roughly 10,000 people applied for the inaugural draw and only 3,000 were entered into the pool (http://www.thestar.com/news/immigration/2015/02/13/critics-call-for-fine-tuning-of-federal-skilled-immigration-program.html)
- There have been two Express Entry draws to date
- The lowest accepted score to date has been 818
- 1,558 people have received invitations as of February 7th, 2015
- 120,442 spots remain
