Express Entry Scores Continue to Drop – Tie-Breaker Rule Implemented

On February 7th, 2018, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada handed out 3,000 Invitations to Apply through the Express Entry system. Those with a score of 442 or higher were issued with an Invitation to Apply. The Tie-Breaker rule for this draw was May 29th, 2017. This draw included applicants classified as Federal Skilled WorkersFederal Skilled Tradespeople, members of the Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominees.

The previous Express Entry draws for 2018 have been as follows:

  • January 10th, 2018 – 2,750 invitations – Minimum score of 446
  • January 24th, 2018 – 2,750 invitations – Minimum score of 444
  • February 7th, 2018 – 3,000 invitations – Minimum score of 442
